Thanks a lot to Madam Halizah Binti Omar, my class teacher in Foundation BI set 14 because she always help me to improve my English wetheir in my class or out of my class.She always create a interesting activities to make my class always life and interesting.
About my English skill and performance, I’ll desperate between before and after I take Foundation English class.

Before
Since Primary school until secondary school about 11 years I was learned English, but my English still not good.I can’t speak English and fearful to speak English.I always feel like that.It’s happen until I further my studies at UKM. I met many people from many descent like Arabian, Syirian, American, Pakistan and another country.I always want to speak and talking with them to get a friendship, but I’m afraid because i’m not very well in English language.

After
Since 14 Mei 2007 my first class in Foundation English, I’m still afraid and fearfull.Because this is English class that whoever in this class must speak English.After 6 weeks learned English with my beloved teacher, Madam Halizah, I think my English was improved.Now I feel more assured to speak English and believe or not, now i have a friend from Pakistan.He studying in PHD in Curikulum at Faculty Of Education in UKM and I using English language while I talking with him. It’s meaning, my skill and performance in English much better than before.But it’s not mean i will stop my English learning, reading, speaking, writing but I must to get along with my English learning.It because I think, I can improve my English because in my English class, my teacher Madam Halizah always give me a ways to improve my English like reading, writing, listening, speaking.She always said, “read!!read more books…..and you must speak English and brave to make a mistake. Ho ho ho….”

About Module
All students whose take Foundation English was given Module Book ZH2014 as a guider in learning class and teachers used the same book too.In a module have a lot of activities and both of them are interesting like reading, vocabulary, speaking, and others.So that why I’m interested to learning English.At the same time my teacher Madam Halizah always make my class fun because she’s so funny.So that why my class both of us in my class always laugh we learning English with a good mood and happy.Amongst activities is like presentation, discussion, reading, speaking and acting to make a drama.
Both of activities that we do, can make me improve my English.

Today I would like to share with you all about my experience…

Task 1

After a few day, I was try to log on and go to the section up to date Prof. David Crystal’s website. I see many topic on the left and I choose one topic. It is ‘in your dreams’. The topic is about dreams , it is being unrealistic, very optimistic and very hopeful. The topic is nice and sound is clear but I don’t understand what Prof David said about topic because he speak very fast and I not having time to write any new word. But, the tapescript was helped me. I listen again and see tapescript, and then I understand. However, there was three vocabulary which I can’t understand. It are :-

Task 2

After I listen one topic about ‘dream’, I choose another topic on the Learning English page. The topic is ‘Phat’. Phat means is pretty, hot and tempting. The phat difference with ‘fat’. Fat to people, animal and things. First time I listen, I can’t understand about topic because Prof. David Crystal speak very fast, the word is difficult and I can’t write any new vocabulary. But I don’t give up, I try to listen again and again and see tapescript, finally I understand about topic and yes…I got five new word, it are :-

That all my experience about listening two topic in Prof. David Crystal’s Website. It is very interesting and important to me because I can learn about pronounciation, intonation and so on.

Assalamualakum..i want to write something about my feeling..Feeling?? yes my feeling about our class and our beloved teacher..hehe
First i want give some of opinion about our beloved teacher..honestly i really like her because she is very energetic and powerful person when do something..i have told to you all before that i was frustrated study english and i really hated it..You know, at the secondary school i very shy to speak english and until at the university my habit is still same..shy..but when i met pn Halizah in the our foundation class everything was changed..yes i was differented rather than now..i does not shy to speak english again and i have more confident..i think one day i can speak english fluently.insyaALLAH..

about our drama, caused Pn Halizah i think all of us more energetic to action in that drama..the spiritual of Pn Halizah is wonderful and she gave a lot of comitment and we are very appreciate it. We promise to you mam, we can do the best and struggle for it.
In this drama we always do something together and i think we were very closed rather than at the first class..at that time, all of us not very familiar to each other because we are from different background..After at the end of class, i hope we are not loss contact expecially for our mam, i hope you do not forget us and always remember us..Of course we are always remember you mam..

I like to talk about this class..Before this I think our subject, foundation english is not interesting..but, it’s wrong..i like to learned when I joined this class..Thank to madam halizah because she always make a jokes, caring,loving and we’re not bored.

Before this I’m not like to reading English book..emm, I’m remembered I’m just reading English book like Cinderella,snow white, Aladdin and …
and I’m not like to read another book because I think there are not interesting. and I think when I read English book story I must be more concentraite..so, I’m feel boring, I don’t know why? But, when i joined this class and madam halizah give our penguin readers story,”Anne of green gables”, I like to reading to finish and from there I like to reading more English book story..i believe that I can improve my vocabulary when I reading more English book..insyaallah..thank to madam halizah because make me to like reading.

Assalamualaikum to everybody. How with you all life? I hope everything is ok. Are you missing me? If you all missing me, don’t panic and please look at my pictures that been uploaded..hehe..

Today, I want to share with you all about my experiences. I think all of you already knows I become a liaison officer in “Muzakarah Imam-Imam Peringkat Kebangsaan 2007” programs. I had many experience when I joined this programs. For examples I had visited “eyes on Malaysia” and I very enjoy because this is first time and it is free. Before that, we went to KLCC and taken to floor 42 to cross flyover of KLCC. I think this is very special experience because is not easy to get this chance.

In this program, I can socialize with any imam around the Malaysia and I can talk to them and they entertain us very well. They also always smile to me and my friends. For you all information, about 3 thousand imam was joined this program. You all can imagine how we manage the entire imam at the same time when they need a bus to go somewhere. This is very difficult because we must manage the imam so that orderly and goes well.

To go somewhere, we convoy about 62 buses and you can imagine it. But we had managed by traffic police so that our convoy goes well. I think this is amazing experiences because we are like a king you know. This trip very hard and sometimes we got problems but overall is good. But one accident was happened when one of the traffic police accident and broken his feet. We are very sad about it but this is God certainty.

At the end of the program I feel sad because I think like loss of something and 5 days is very short. But the good thing is I not busy again and can concentrate with my class.

Enough for my experience and I want continue about my class drama. Everybody already knows we had prepared our drama but not complete again and in progress. One thing is I very proud because all of you given fully cooperation and willing to spend your time for this drama. I very appreciate it my friends. To Pn Halizah you are super duper power because your spirit makes us to struggle more and maybe be a winner. InsyaAllah.

Lastly I hope all my friends happy always and good luck for your examination next week.

I hope all of you have a nice time and enjoy with this class.
Here I would like to talk about my self – assessment in foundation english class refer to activity which carry out in the class. Refer to course schedule, many activities such as reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary and participating discussions. It is very interesting and I learn with funny and enjoy. Besides that, I get many knowledge, experience and more information about the English language.

In the reading activity, I get great experience and more information. In the class I was read short story and passage. I learned new thing from it. I get new enthusiasm and brave to try reading English in front of my friend. Besides that, I was read penguin readers books. It is very interesting. From it, I think that English language is not difficult.

In the writing activity, I learn how to write summary and how to write English passage very well. In this class, I learn about grammar and it help me to write something in English language very well. Sometimes, I feel it is so difficult to understand, but I think I must give attention and think positively if I want to improve my English.

In the class, I was listened a English song, the title is flying without wings and right here waiting, and I try to sing, it is very interesting and nice. Besides that, I was listened online listening (prof. David Crystal’s website). I learned many thing such as pronounciation, new word and intonation.

In the speaking activity, I’m believe it can improve my English. Before this I afraid to speak English because my English is not very well. But now I can speak English even little bit and I must speak and speak very much and along time if I want to speak English very well. Besides that, making presentations and participating discussions can help me to improve my English because it encourage me to speak English.

In the reading and listening activities, I get many new vocabulary and new word. Before this I have a little bit vocabulary, thereby I can’t write and speak English really good. But this activities in this class was changed me.

Many activities was curry out in this class such as making presentations, radio show, facial expression and so on. I like it because its make me smile, fun and enjoy learning English.

assalamualaikum...firstly , what im going to tell you about my achievement in learning english. really the english foundation class would give me a chance to improve my english become good, excellent such as the vocubalary, grammar, my pronounsation and other, I think may be the main fact is our teacher, she know how to create the interesting class for us..
Beside that, I can know how to use the correct word in each sentences, and I also can use a variety word which I dont know before this. I learn a new matter it is IDIOM like over the moon make gigurative meaning how to statement aclluding to something.
In this class, I was learn a new skills has a two ways to read the text either skimming( quick reading), or scanning (more careful reading to get specific info)..in writing, Imust write a key points and important thing from the text like writing summary. In my class all students should take part for speaking..speak what our knowledge and support from our teacher and friend..
Secondly about about our presentation last week, my group give full support an ideas to make our group presentation become interesting...by the way we want to get full mark from our presentation=)
Lastly what I would like to talk about a drama competetion..all of you know the competetion at last week..so but right no we make a preparing and surely we become a winnwer in- Allah...thats all

Salam...how are you...i hope all of you great yeah!!...first of all, i want to talk about prof.david crystal's on title "bless". when first time i heard about "bless" is not really clear. I can understand a little bit words. After that, i listen again to more understand. so, this is about explanation about using "bless" in English...Sometimes,"bless you" use after people sneeze.

beside that, it is also use for upset like when cat snuggle up to little chlid and then her finger is hurt, so it is call as "ah!bless!. Furthermore, ah!bless! also use when people or somebody talk with so harsh to the other person. When somebody try to do something,and not success, it is also can to speak ah!bless!..

2. (BLING)

The second topic that i heard is about "bling". When i heard about "bling", actually, it is describe to the diamonds,jewellery,clothing and accoutrements...I think, bling refers to the thing is so worth..At the same time in USA, hit-hop song by baby gangsters change bling to "bling,bling". so,it is no one bling but two bling but in the britain,usually speak bling without reduplication like"bling".

So,in my opinions.." bling" is refer to anything shiny and worth like a car even meal except a joke.

However today I try to share to all of you about my opinion on listening experience in David Crystal. Today I listen to Professor Crystal about cell. The article is nice and easy to understand because it don't use higher language. A Few about this article is it told us about cell phone was tricky. It is because some people spelled it as one word and some people spelled it as two. But author searching in google found one-word spelling got eighteen million hits, and the two-word spelling got a hundred and thirty-five million hits.

By the way, in this article I get new words or called pronounciation. There are synchronise, monastery, indeed and prison. I think that's all I want to share with all of you. I hope we can learn something ang get benefit from this lesson. Thank you.......

* blondes - pale gold in colour

* abbreviation - a short form of a word

* instead - in the place of somebody/something

* negate - to stop something from having any effect

* emphasis - special importance that is given to something

* activist - a person who works to achieve political or social change, especially as a member of an organization with particular aim

* flurry - an occasion when there is alot of activity, interest, excitement, etc.

TASK 1

I heard Prof David Crystal about 'In your dreams'. I not really understand what it is about. First i listen, i cannot understand what he talk about, i listen many times and i can understand a little bit what he said but i still not understand the whole story, what it is about until i read the tapescript.
He said, in your dreams someone become unrealistic, very optimistic,and very hopeful. It mixed 2 senses of the word "dream"
= what happen when you're asleep
= the sense of day dream

even i didn't know the meaning but i can guess refer to the whole sentences and the explaination.

TASK 2

I choose the topic "Bling". This topic is same like others topic. I'm not understand what it is about until i read the tapescript. The language that he use is simple, just a few word that i can't undestand but i can guess the meaning and follow the way that madam teach us before. The word 'bling' used to describe diamonds and jewelery and all kinds of showy clothing. It dictionaries by 2002 and used in different country. Also has a song "Bling Bling"

BINGE
* binge - a short period of time when somebody does too much a particular activity, especially eating or drinking alcohol
Example - caffeine binge = too much caffeine
* stuff - used to refer to a substance, material, group of objects,etc. when you do not know the name, when the name is not important or when it is obvious what you are taking about

Today I would like to tell everybody that activity I like in my English classes. As our knowledge, two or three week ago if all of you don't forgot, we have drama activity that teacher want to see our talented.Firstly, I'm so shy to do this activity but I must try it.I'm so happy saw my friend reaction while they do this activity.Before this,I'm never had an experience like this.But in this class,I got it.This activity become me brave to face to the society and get more experience in my life. Assalamualaikum…Hello everybody.How are you today? Before that, I want to tell that I’m very lucky while I’m in set 13 with Madam Halizah who is good looking person and also an experience teacher. Today, I would like to share with you all about my achievement in learning English. Learning English would give me a chance to improve my English lesson become good and excellent like grammar, pronunsiation, vocabulary and other. I also know how to use the correct word in each sentences. Other than it, I can use a variety word which I don’t know before this like succulent, scrumptious, utilize and more.

In my class, I learned skill how to read a text. There are two ways how to read the text either skimming (quick reading) or scanning (more careful reading to get specific info). In writing, I must write a key points and important things from the text like writing summary. In listening, I should to listen carefully how the pronunsiation it is to get the best and correct answer. In class, all the students should take part for speaking. I speak what I know from my knowledge and support from my teacher and friends. Vocabulary is also could be to understand to improve my English.

About making presentations which it is on week six, my group give support and idea to make our group presentation become interesting. By the way, we want to get full mark from our presentation.Insya-Allah….So, we must try our best to do this project and it also give my group spirit to become successful in our life. Before I forgot, my group choose task three; a page for a children’s book that the book called Customs and Festival from Around the World. I also take the participating discussions in my class about many things like drama. We discuss how to make a wonderful and funny dialogue from Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs story. Our discussion looking good and all of us give the support.

TASK 1

I had got something different experience for listening and reading about a short story.."IN YOUR DREAM" ."In your dream" meant someone is being unrealistic, very optimistic, very hopeful.It mixes two senses of the word 'dream':

1) what happens when you're asleep

2) the sense of day dream or reverie (it's a very general use).

>Actually, I can't listened very well about this story without read the tapescript first,it's so difficult because its used different slang and read too fast than us.

>Afterthat,i'm read the tapescript and at the same time i'm listened the video too, i knows what it's story about and got more new vocabulary information from this story. If you want to knows all of the story, you can log on the internet.In this websites,they have a lot of nice story and it's so very good for us.

* It’s used to describe diamonds and jewellery and all kinds of showy clothing, accoutrements.

* It became nationally known in the USA when the someone of artist made a hit hip-hop song called 'Bling Bling' and it was more usually used without the reduplication.

* It’s also became symbolic character of the word - glistening light reflected by metal.

* There's a website, 'Think Bling!' defining it as 'anything shiny and worth a good amount of money'.

* But the word's takeover by the middle-classes has made it worthless to the rapping community.

>This story also used more new vocabulary and it’s easy to learned than the first story “ In your dream”.

Assalamualaikum.....

how are you?today our group do the rehearsal about our poster,Airasia. I always shaking when do the presentation and actually i'm shy to speak in front of audience but now, i think i felt a bit brave to speak and not shame either the sentence that i use is correct or not, like today, eventhough my heart was pounding, i can control myself when speak. Maybe one day i will be a good presenter and its important to me because in the future i must teach in english. Actually, i really enjoyed when do the longman because it can improve listening, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and reading. I'm always excited to do the longman,now i missed to do it again. I think my writing is not really good yet because more grammar that i need to cover it but it will became better, Insyaallah.

I think i liked all the activities that we done before especially game, radio show and acting. It is because i felt enjoyed, everyone happy and not so heavy to us. when we enjoy and happy, we also learn, so we do 2 works at one time. I'm really glad with my group,eventhough we start do our project late but we can finish our project at the time given. Ella, Yat and i still not sleep although 2am just to finish our poster and do the script. We all were do the best to our project, everyone give their commitment, thanks a lot....

From all the readers book that i was read, i think the story "anne green of the gables" and "The railway station" is the best book i've read...

hohoho...for rehearsel tody, my group choosen for present...i'm glad to my group although untill 2.00a.m we still with our project. We practise together and make a poster only one nite...i know our presentation is postpone to friday, so we've a more time to practice....i hope all the group can do the best...and for my group CHARMED"tOgEtHer We StAND deVIdED We fALL" be the best among the best,no matter what happend charmed is still in my heart...wakakaka.."bbaahSyaaa and aja-aja fighthing"*(like yoo rin said in my girl story). How do you do. Today lesson more about reading. I'm enjoy reading but today i felt sleepy because last night i sleep late to prepare our poster presentation so sometimetimes i'm loss what teacher saying, he2.I'm sorry.

Before i'm forgot, i want to thank a lot to our teacher because give us chocolate and souvenier. you are very kind, funny and the best teacher that i have found.
