Alhamdulillah, i've listen all the David Crystal talk..but i've not comment yet all the topic what he have talk about. I want to note down first what the new vocabulary i've got. And after this i'll continue with my Task 1 and i'll share my opinion on my listening experience..is it OK, madam?(",)
PHAT
* phat - very good
* beat - to do or be better than something
*encounter - to experience something, especially something unpleasant or difficult, while you are trying to do something else
* homophone - a word that is pronounced like another word but has a different spelling or meaning, for example some,sum
* ambigous - that can be understood in more than one way
THIRTY_SOMETHING
* boom - a loud deep sound
* cape - a loose outer piece of clothing that has no sleeves, fasten at the neck and hangs from the shoulders, like a cloak but shorter
WICKED
* splendid - excellent, very good
* squeezed out - to prevent somebody/something from continuing to do something or be in business
* distinction - a clear difference or contrast especially between people or thing that are similar or related
* ambigous - that can be understood in more than one way
